Contact usAt Spike Box Ranch, the health and well-being of our animals is our highest priority. Every miniature cow and horse raised on our ranch is cared for in a healthy environment where proper nutrition, pasture access, and responsible management support their development.
We take pride in raising animals that are healthy, well cared for, and ready to thrive in their new homes. And because we’re so confident in our practices, we back every animal with a comprehensive 1-year health guarantee—one of the strongest in the miniature livestock industry.
Spike Box Ranch proudly offers a 1-year health guarantee on all our animals—a reflection of our absolute confidence in the health, genetics, and care they receive at our ranch.
If any serious health concerns related to genetics arise during this period, contact us immediately. We’ll work with you to find a fair resolution—whether that’s a replacement animal, refund, or other arrangement.
Most breeders offer 30 days. We offer a full year because we believe in our animals and want you to feel confident in your purchase.
Spike Box Ranch follows responsible breeding practices to maintain strong genetics and healthy animals. Our breeding program focuses on:

Spike Box Ranch is always happy to provide general guidance to buyers regarding animal care, feeding, and adjustment after delivery. We want every buyer to feel confident in caring for their new livestock.
Whether you have questions at 2 weeks or 2 years, we’re here to help. Our goal isn’t just to sell animals—it’s to help you succeed with them.
Answer: Congenital defects are health conditions present from birth that affect the animal’s quality of life or ability to function as intended. This includes serious structural abnormalities, heart defects, or genetic conditions that become apparent as the animal matures. It does not include minor cosmetic issues or conditions resulting from injury or poor care.
Answer: Contact us immediately if you suspect a serious health issue. We’ll discuss the situation, may request veterinary records and examination findings, and work with you toward a fair resolution. Prompt communication is essential.
Answer: Injuries from accidents or mishandling, illness from poor nutrition or neglect, routine conditions (minor infections, parasites), and natural death without veterinary examination are not covered. Full terms provided at purchase.
Answer: The health certificate confirms the animal was examined and found healthy at the time of shipping. Our 1-year guarantee extends that assurance for genetic conditions. No one can predict accidents or illnesses resulting from care after delivery—that’s why your role is so important.
Answer: Our health guarantee addresses health issues, not buyer’s remorse. We encourage thorough research and communication before purchase to ensure you’re getting the right animal for your situation. If unexpected circumstances arise, contact us—we’re reasonable people and will do our best to help.
